In a cohort study published in the Journal of American Medical Association (JAMA) Pediatrics, researchers from California examined the children who tested positive for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). They evaluated the duration of infectivity (culturable virus shedding) of the causative virus severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) and its association with vaccination status. They
