Impeachment Obsessed: Todd Fails to Grill Tlaib on Her Anti-Semitism

The liberal media loves to lecture their viewers about how we need to stand up to hatred and bigotry and anyone who doesn’t was a coward. Obviously, that only applied to President Trump and Congressional Republicans because, during an over six-minute long interview on Sunday’s Meet the Press, NBC political director Chuck Todd failed to question Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib on her recent anti-Semitic remarks.

The only subject on Todd’s mind was forwarding the impeachment of President Trump. After speaking with New York Congressman Hakeem Jeffries (D), who was for his party leadership’s slow approach, Todd commended Tlaib for “easily” being “one of the louder voices when it comes to impeachment”.

Of course, he didn’t mention Tlaib’s gaffe from her first night as a congresswoman when she shouted to a crowd of Democrats, “we’re going to impeach this motherf***er!”

Do you believe that leadership is being methodical or do you believe that leadership is trying to buy enough time where they say, we’re too close to the presidential election in order to take it off the table quietly,” Todd wondered.

What Todd seemed remiss to question the Congresswoman on were her tweets describing how she received a “calming feeling” while thinking about the Holocaust and how Palestinians supposedly helped to found Israel. Her historic revisionism was so blatant and perverse that even CNN had to call her out for spreading lies.

Todd was so obsessed with impeaching Trump that it was the only thing he questioned her about. “Congresswoman, why do you think you can’t convince a majority of House Democrats that it’s time to impeach him,” he whined.

Seemingly interested in a bipartisan effort to unseat the President, Todd wanted to know if she was working with her fellow Michigan lawmaker, Justin Amash (R):

Justin Amash became the first Republican essentially to call or at least believe that it’s time to have an impeachment inquiry. I know on Twitter, you invited him to meet with you and sign your resolution on that. Did you meet with him? Have you spoken with him? And if you have, what did he say?

Not only was Todd uninterested in keeping Democratic hate in check, but he had actually promoted it when he allowed Antifa to use both his NBC and MSNBC programs to spread their message of violence.

CHUCK TODD: Joining me now is Democratic congresswoman Rashida Tlaib from Michigan, taking the other side of this conversation. Congresswoman Tlaib, welcome to Meet the Press.

REP RASHIDA TLAIB: Thank you.

TODD: You are easily, I think, one of the louder voices when it comes to impeachment. I’m curious of your reaction to Congressman Jefferies in this respect. Do you believe that leadership is being methodical or do you believe that leadership is trying to buy enough time where they say, we’re too close to the presidential election in order to take it off the table quietly?

(…)

TODD: I want to play for you a quote from an interview I had earlier this week from an Ohio Democratic activist who is a bit frustrated with all of the subpoenas on Capitol Hill. Take a listen. And I want to get your reaction on the other side.

(…)

TODD: You hear, look, I have no doubt — Congressman Jefferies ran down, I know you have passed other legislation and you do other stuff other than talking about the President’s personal conduct. But his point was, it’s the volume of conversation. It’s the loud voice that he believes, win the election in 2020 and stop worrying about his tax returns. What do you say to Mr. [David] Betras about that?

(…)

TODD: Congresswoman, why do you think you can’t convince a majority of House Democrats that it’s time to impeach him?

(…)

TODD: Justin Amash became the first Republican essentially to call or at least believe that it’s time to have an impeachment inquiry. I know on Twitter, you invited him to meet with you and sign your resolution on that. Did you meet with him? Have you spoken with him? And if you have, what did he say?

(…)

TODD: All right, Congresswoman, I’m going to leave it there. Rashida Tlaib, Democrat from Michigan. Congresswoman, thanks for coming on and sharing your views. I appreciate it.
